“SOMETHING PERSONAL” my piece based on memories, sensations and gestures. 
When I ask Shelbey about her some sensations and good vibes come to me. And I imagine a beautiful, colorful world where the nature is present. 
Ateliers sound, vibrant metal sound and at same time birds, flowers, wind, forest breathing. I love the exchange idea. The idea of experiment and approach other pasions, and at least other fragancies that remind intensly and never forgot in our mind. That’s

Through our correspondence, it seemed to me that Júlia and I had similar interests – there was a shared feeling of respect for traditional metalsmithing techniques, as well as a desire to incorporate alternative methods and materials within our work, not to mention a mutual love for black apparel.  My preferred method of making is through the process of fabrication and the subsequent piece created was primarily developed through these methods. Over three months, various structural forms were created - each component proving to be a useful tool of experimentation, ultimately allowing for the final structure.  Polar Sunshine is composed of contrasting structural details including soft curves, sharp angles, and linear elements.  It is a brooch that is able to transition into a small vessel, with the upper hexagonal component piercing through the cone base.  It has an industrious visual presence, and the inclusion of colour entices inquiry from the viewer.  2016 marks my first year of participation in the Contemporary Jewellery Exchange and I look forward to many others.
